The Blues should play Husso tonight and save Allen a bit.

When Allen pays too much he gets sloppy.

I am impressed the Blues keep battling.

If they get in everyone assumes the Preds will kill them and I am not so convinced.

Need 2 big points tonight. At the very least we need to put ourselves in a "win and your in" situation for the last game of the season against Colorado.

If they were going to play Husso, it should have been tonight. Since they do not appear to be, I'm assuming Allen will get both.

Allen's numbers have been good in the 2nd of back to backs.

If they truly want to make the playoffs starting Husso tonight or in any remaining game whether back to backs or not wouldn't even be a considered option by the coaching staff in my opinion.

My point was if, you are playing him, you play him vs the Canucks who played last night and have been poor this year, not the streaking Blue Jackets.

If the Blues get up big, it would be interesting to consider letting Husso play a period for example.

Slowly but surely, the Blues are gaining ground. Over the last three games we have went from 5 points out with 2 games in hand to 3 points out with 1 game in hand (or 4 pts out with 2 games in hand if you consider LA). We have gained 2 points on Colorado, 1 point on LA, and stayed even with Anaheim. Our issue is that the team in 8th has been winning while the team in 7th (and the team in 3rd in the Pacific) has been the one taking a loss.

Don't overlook the fact we've created a little space between Dallas and a lot of space between Calgary. It appears if anyone on the outside looking in is going to make it, it will be us.

Keep winning and something's gotta give. We still have Colorado to play and the three teams we are chasing have a few match ups with each other next weekend. Gonna be some intense hockey down the stretch .

Two things: One if Allen gets hurt, well then you are forced to play a guy with no experience. So correct the no experience and ease him in. Two, Allen does have good numbers on the second day of back to backs but over-playing him just never seems like a good idea.

My third would be simply Husso might be a better option in any case.
